I am excited to share with you my quick and simple frozen yogurt bite recipe using FAGE yogurt.
I’ve had the pleasure of partnering with FAGE every summer for the last three years. I love looking at photos of my FAGE recipe creations and seeing how much they’ve evolved, as well as my kids and photography! I’ve been getting more creative in the kitchen recently and FAGE Total makes it easy because of how versatile it is. Its creamy texture is delicious on its own, but I also love finding new ways to incorporate it into our daily routine! FAGE has been a staple product in our home since Teddy was born…this house LOVES Greek yogurt. As we get into the warmer months, I wanted to whip up a delicious summer treat that I know the entire family will enjoy – frozen Greek yogurt bites!
Only 5 ingredients and 10 minutes of active prep time, these frozen Greek yogurt bites can absolutely be a freezer staple all summer long. My kids are already obsessed. June and I made a “unicorn” version with pink and purple yogurt and birthday cake granola. I used FAGE Total 0% Plain Greek yogurt for these, but you can always opt for their other milk fat varieties (2% and 5%) depending on your preference.
This is a super easy frozen yogurt bite recipe to make with kids too. June ( who is newly 3) had a blast helping me and each step was easy for her to actually do on her own without much assistance. A little bit messy but nothing a quick wet paper towel wipe down can’t handle.
Frozen Yogurt Bites INGREDIENTS
1 cup berries of choice
2 tablespoons honey
pinch of salt
1 cup full-fat plain Fage Greek yogurt
1 cup granola (use your fave! – we love using Birthday Cake Granola )
Frozen Yogurt Bites INSTRUCTIONS
Smash the berries: first thing’s first, you’re gonna want to mash up the berries with a little bit of honey. if you’re using a larger berry, like strawberries, it works best to chop the berries up a little bit before you try to mash them. Smaller berries, like blueberries, raspberries, & blackberries will mash pretty easily on their own.
Fold in the Fage Total Greek yogurt! In goes the Greek yogurt, & stir ‘til combined! You could, of course, use your favorite flavored greek yogurt in lieu of making your own berry-flavored yogurt, but I love being able to both take advantage of how beautiful fresh berries are this time of year & control the amount of sugar that goes into these frozen yogurt bites. I suggest using full-fat Greek yogurt in this frozen yogurt bites recipe, however, all I had on hand was the 0% and it is delicious as well, just doesn’t turn out quite as creamy as the full fat version. I use Fage Total 0% but recomend the full fat Fage Total if you can find it in your local store.
Assemble the bites: the greek yogurt mixture gets spooned on top of a base of your favorite granola. I like to used mini paper muffin cups and a mini muffin tin which keep everything standing upright in a nice little bite, but I’ve also made these as a yogurt bark version using just a standard baking sheet – so if you don’t have muffin tins, don’t worry, just sprinkle a layer of granola on the bottom then layer with yogurt spread on top.
