Finding a small pantry solution should be simple right? When we moved into our beloved 1900’s farmhouse I was so in love with all the character and details that I kind of overlooked the fact that there wasn’t really a pantry. It is literally the perfect small pantry solution to my kitchen problems. I am thrilled to be able to working with ShelfGenie to create my custom kitchen solution!

First of all the whole process was super easy and they make everything from start to finish absolutely seamless. Providing solutions to my small pantry problems.

First I met with a ShelfGenie Designer, and she came out to understand my space and my needs and work up the custom glide-out storage system design for me. My designer and the installation team came back a few days later to finalize the pantry design and take the exact measurements. They used this for our completely custom glide-out system. The custom solution takes about 4 weeks to make before they are installed.

For installation, you need to remove everything from the pantry cabinets. It is shocking how much stuff I shoved in my pantry. I couldn’t see or access over half of it. The installation day went really smoothly. I met the installation team at my house and then left them to their work. This abled me to run errands while they got the job done.

Arriving home a few hours later to what felt like a completely new kitchen! When it was complete I organized my pantry and could see the improvement immediately. Finally, I could see all that I had! I was beginning to feel like not having a tradition pantry was no longer a problem. I had found the solution to my small pantry problem.

What my kitchen is like now that I have found a small pantry solution!

Making dinner has been so much better since the installation as I now have an actual functioning and organized pantry! I now can easily see all that I have in my cabinets. It is much easier to plan dinners and not repeat or over-buy ingredients ( hello my previous stash of 10 cartons of bone broth and 8 cans of the same beans. )Even saving me money on eating out!

I am now able to utilize the huge storage cabinets above my fridge because the glide outs enable me to reach what I have got up there. Before the update I had to get out a ladder to see inside them, now I can just pull out the shelf and have easy access to everything. I know this is a common thing in older homes! So this pantry system is the perfect solution.

I already have shelf envy for every other room in my house, but particularly the master bathroom (which has ultra-small storage space and looks like a constant disaster.) AKA never open my bathroom cabinets or you’ll get an avalanche of hairdryers and bandaids. I am definitely saving up for another shelf genie system in there.
